Managing National Assessment (MNA) report

Learn more about the process and format of a Managing National Assessment report

Report process

The school’s Ðǿմ«Ã½ School Relationship Manager writes a report after the Managing National Assessment visit.

After an Ðǿմ«Ã½ internal review, the report is sent to the school’s Principal and Principal’s Nominee within 6 weeks of the visit. The school has 2 weeks to clarify any issues of accuracy or misunderstanding.

If the school indicates the report is factually inaccurate or that it comments on matters outside its mandate, Ðǿմ«Ã½ considers the comments and may amend the report.

A copy of the final report is then sent to the Chair of the Board of Trustees and is published on this website. To find an MNA report for a school, visit the Find Education Organisations page.

Report format

The report includes:

  • a summary of the review findings and any actions required for the school to maintain its consent to assess
  • comments on the effectiveness of the school’s management and review of assessment practice, moderation, data and communication.
