Ðǿմ«Ã½ acts as New Zealand's National Education Information Centre (NEIC) to help improve understanding of New Zealand and international qualifications.
Why we have a NEIC
New Zealand is a member of a European qualification recognition agreement known as the Lisbon Recognition Convention. Members of the convention must have a national information centre.
As part of our entry to the Lisbon Convention, Ðǿմ«Ã½ was designated as New Zealand's NEIC.
What we do
The role of the NEIC is to provide information and advice on:
- the recognition of foreign diplomas, degrees and other academic or professional qualifications
- the New Zealand education system and education systems in other countries
- New Zealand qualifications.
You can find more information about these areas in the international section of our website.
